Dr. Hensley was born and raised in New England and moved to Texas with her family while in high school. She attended Texas A&M where she received a B.S. in Animal Science and Bio-Medical Science as well as her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. Dr. Hensley has been practicing in the North Austin area since that time. Her professional interests are client education, preventative medicine, and soft tissue surgery. Dr. Hensley and her husband share their home with their son, Nathaniel, and their Husky, O.D. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, snow skiing, and going to the Lake on hot Texas summer days!

Lisa Kuehl

DVM

The opportunity to care for animals has always drawn Dr. Lisa Kuehl to the veterinary profession; she simply loves working with pets and their families! She's been a practicing veterinarian since 2011 and is thrilled to bring her skills to the Animal Care Clinic team. An Austin native, Dr. Kuehl completed her undergraduate degree at Texas A&M University. She then moved to London to attend the Royal Veterinary College, graduating in 2010 with her veterinary degree. After moving back to Austin and working at a couple of local practices, Dr. Kuehl joined the Animal Care Clinic family in 2018. She's especially fond of dentistry work and dermatology cases and adores puppy and kitten visits because of the opportunity to start new pet owners off on the right path. In her free time, Dr. Kuehl enjoys spending time with her family and friends and enjoying the live music, restaurants, and nature that Austin has to offer. She lives with her husband, their two young sons, and their rambunctious rescued schnauzer mix, Maxwell.

Stephanie King

Kittie Clark

Dr. Clark's father says he always knew she would become a veterinarian. She graduated from Vassar with a BA in Biology in 1990, and earned her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Texas A&M in 1996. She started her career at a small animal practice in Corpus Christi, before joining PetSmart Veterinary Services (now Banfield Pet Hospital) in 1997. Dr. Clark moved to Austin in 1999, working at various Banfield Pet Hospital locations in the greater Austin area. She currently lives with her 2 senior cats (Audrey and Seeley) and one energetic dog named Skye. Dr. Clark loves to give back and has been an active volunteer for ROCK (Ride on Center for Kids) in Georgetown for over 10 years. In her free time she enjoys cooking, baking, gardening, reading, riding horses, traveling, and centering herself with yoga.

Shari Valdez

Shari grew up in the Austin and Round Rock area and attended The University of Texas at San Antonio, wherein 2009 she received a B.S. in Biology. Working in the veterinary field has been Shari's dream career since she was three years old and she fulfilled that dream when she started her first high school job in a veterinary clinic back in 2003. She has never looked back and her love for veterinary medicine only grows stronger. Shari's passion for animals and developing others led her into veterinary management in 2008. In her free time, she loves to travel with her husband, David and enjoys capturing moments through photography. Shari and David share their home with their daughter, Emree, and three Pitbull mixes - Achilles, Jayden, and Arkham.

Christine

Lead Veterinary Technician

Christine has worked in veterinary clinics in the greater Austin area since 2008. She joined the team at Animal Care Clinic in 2017, Christine says "She loves it! Everybody is awesome and really cares about what they do. I have been in the field and have been a vet tech for about 10 years now. There is nothing else I want to do." Christine has two black labs, Gus Gus & Cody, and a tuxedo cat named Baby. As a native of the Georgetown area, Christine's biggest pride in life is her daughter, who plays softball and volleyball in Georgetown. In her free time, she enjoys going to the movies, spending time with her family and watching live country music anytime she can.

Ashley

Veterinary Technician

Ashley was born and raised in El Paso, TX. She moved to Austin in 2012 to attend The University of Texas at Austin, where she received a bachelor's degree in Ecology, Evolution, and Behavior. Ashley and her husband share their home with a handsome grey kitty, Mars, a 75-gallon fish tank full of vicious cichlids, and an energetic Doberman Pinscher, Ares. Along with her interest in science and medicine, she has a great love for art and music. Ashley has played the violin for many years and has been drawing and painting since she was a child. Ashley started her career in veterinary medicine as a kennel technician for 2 years in high school and then became a veterinary technician with us at Animal Care Clinic in 2016. During her downtime, she likes to go bird watching, play my violin, paint, and go to local shows and support the Austin music scene!

Emily

Veterinary Technician

Emily has been in the veterinary medicine field since 2007, and still loves her career very much! Emily says "It is such an amazing feeling to have a rewarding career that does not feel like work, and that I look forward coming to." Emily has lived in Austin since 2007. Before that, she lived and grew up in El Paso, TX. Both of her parents are deaf, and she is fluent in American Sign Language. Emily has 3 dogs (pug: Junebug, boxer: Dodger, and a lab mix: Ranger) and 1 cat (Lucy).

Nathalie

Veterinary Technician

Nathalie joined Animal Care Clinic as a Veterinary Assistant in February 2017, where she has grown her career and is now a Veterinary Technician! Nathalie moved to the Round Rock area in 2015 from Tampa, Florida in order to be closer to her sister, nephew, and niece who live in Jarrell, Texas. Nathalie is a proud cat mom to a tabby cat named Parker, who she nursed to health & adopted after he was abandoned and brought to our clinic by a good Samaritan at only one-month-old. In her free time, she enjoys movies, music, and art-related activities. She really loves taking care of incoming patients. "I really love seeing the change that is being made with animals that come in, seeing how they grow or get happier after being treated really makes a difference in any hard times

Suzy

Veterinary Technician

Suzy grew up in the Austin and Round Rock area and has had a passion for animals from a young age. She has worked in the veterinary field for almost eleven years and believes in trying to help pets live longer through preventative care. Suzy has two dogs who act as her muses—a Papillion named Sora and chihuahua-mix named Rikku. Her passions include friends and family, dogs, art, and writing, and she recently published her first novel on Amazon.

Cassidy

Veterinary Technician & Veterinary Student

Cassidy was born and raised in the Austin area and has a passion for animal medicine. She began shadowing Dr. Jill Hedler when she was 11 and has been with the clinic ever since! At 15, Cassidy began working with Animal Care Clinic as a Kennel Technician and now works seasonally as a Veterinary Technician. In December 2019, Cassidy graduated with a B.S. in Animal Science from Texas Tech University and is currently attending Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine. She is projected to graduate as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in May 2024. Cassidy has the best study buddy, a red heeler mix named Lucy, and a cat named Carson. In her spare time, Cassidy loves to go hiking, draw art of wildlife, and spend time with her family.

Ashley P.

Veterinary Technician

Ashley is a native Austinite who grew up with her own menagerie of pets. From a young age, Ashley knew animals were her passion, and after several years of volunteering at local animal shelters, she decided to attend Texas Tech University (Wreck'Em!) to pursue a degree in Animal Science and Agricultural Economics. Ashley has been working as a veterinary technician since obtaining her degrees. It is Ashley's goal to be an advocate for animals and to provide knowledge to help owners better help their pets. When Ashley is not working, she enjoys time with her fiancé, Ethan, and their fur children: Hermès (Dachshund), Tulip (Mini Australian Shepherd), & Persephone (DSH).

Lauren

Veterinary Technician

Lauren was born in San Diego and grew up in Murrieta, a not so small town in Southern California. With her parents and siblings, she moved to Texas in 2016. She has several cats, one large fluffy dog, and two bearded dragons. While completing her bachelor's in business management at Texas State, she realized her she needed to pursue her real dream of becoming a veterinarian. After earning her business management degree, Lauren will be completing prerequisites for her application to veterinary school. Lauren started her veterinary medicine career as a kennel technician and with her ambitions in mind, she has grown into the veterinary technician role. In her free time, Lauren enjoys cosplaying with her sister - traveling the country going to conventions, and competing in contests. Other hobbies include reading historical fiction, planning photoshoots, and experimenting with make-up looks.

Jenni

Veterinary Technician

Jenni's passion for animals started when she was 4 years old after her first trip to SeaWorld. Her dream came full circle when she studied marine transportation and marine biology at Texas A&M and had the opportunity to do an internship at sea world for animal husbandry. This career was paused so she could help take care of her ailing mother. After spending 12 years in the food and beverage industry she found her way back to a career with animals, becoming a veterinary technician in 2018. Since then she has been living her dream and spending her days taking care of peoples fur children. Dental cleaning are her absolute favorite, but she genuinely love all surgeries. Jenni loves being there when patients wake up after anesthesia and telling them how brave they were.

Jenni and her husband have 4 dogs: Twin rescues, Ruger and Remington, and my stubby leg rescues, Forrest & Bubba (do you sense the Forest Gump theme?)

Jenni and her husband enjoy spending their free time being outdoors, working out, going to the range, and of course playing with their boys! Fourth of July is her favorite holiday so naturally her favorite color is "America."

Jamie

Veterinary Technician

Jamie started working in the veterinary field when she was 16 and has been a veterinary technician since 2013. She has gained experience from clinics in Houston, Dallas, and now Round Rock, which she moved to in November 2020. Her special interest in veterinary medicine is nutrition. She has three dogs at home - a Shetland sheepdog named Rylie, a Pyrenees mix named Kaylee, and a rough collie named Liam. She also likes keeping plants and tropical fish, and has a 29 gallon tank with a betta fish named Czar, a handful of blue platies, cory catfish, and black kuhli loaches. In her free time, she likes to play Dungeons & Dragons with friends, write, draw, and spend time at Lake Travis.

Sierra

Veterinary Technician & Veterinary Student

Sierra was raised in Dallas, Texas where she volunteered with various local rescue programs and animal shelters. She has always had a passion for animal care and welfare. Sierra graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2019 and moved to London to pursue her DVM at Royal Veterinary College. Due to the pandemic, Sierra will be staying state side for a virtual semester this fall. She is excited about joining the ACC veterinary technician team and getting to help care for our patients! In her free time, Sierra enjoys hiking the greenbelt and paddle boarding on Lady Bird Lake.

Tricia

Tricia was born and raised in Connecticut and moved to Texas in 2001. Ever since she was little, it was her dream to work with animals. Tricia has been working in the hospitality field since 1985 and currently has a Hotel/Restaurant Management degree, as well as certification from the Hotel/Motel Association and a Culinary Arts degree. She is currently working on her Veterinary Technician degree online through Penn Foster. Tricia and her husband share their home with three cats: Flash, Snart, and Eobard Thawne. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, reading, and movies!

Trish

Trish has lived in the Austin and Round Rock area since 2004. She attended Concordia University at Austin, wherein 2013 she received a B.S. in Mathematics. Since then she has been instructing students in a multitude of Math courses, but recently decided she wanted to follow a different path with her career. She has been with us at Animal Care Clinic since May 2018 and loves working around all of our furry patients. Trish currently has 3 cats: Tigger (Orange Tabby), Phineas (Tuxedo), and D'Artagnan (Gray Tabby)- and 2 dogs: Rosie (Staffordshire Terrier mix) and Lanie (Blue Lacy). She loves animals of all kinds and hopes to continue her education in the Veterinary Field and become a Technician one day.

Lilly

Lilly grew up in the Austin area and graduated from Texas State University in 2015. Prior to joining our team in September 2020, she worked at a veterinary clinic in Cedar Park for four years. Lilly and her boyfriend share their home with two Pyrenees mixes, Winston & Iroh, and their cat, Athena (pictured), who runs the show! In her free time, Lilly enjoys taking her dogs to the lake, relaxing with a movie or book, and going to concerts.

She also has a young Golden Retriever named Jax, who is so much fun and full of lots of energy and cuddles. On the weekends Ashley enjoys lake days on the boat with her family, wake surfing, and cheering on her kids at their softball and baseball games. Ashley loves all kinds of animals and hopes to continue her education in the Veterinarian field and become a Vet tech one day.
